The New 7 Wonders of The World (Week 11)

Based on the last blog post about the 7 wonders of the world, here is a list of the New7Wonders of the world and the countries they are located in.

The results from the 100 million votes were not ranked because according to the Swiss corporation that organized the event in 2007, all seven are equal in ranking.

3.   The Colosseum- 80 AD, located in Rome, Italy. 
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
4.    Chichén Itzá - 600 AD, located in Yucatán, Mexico
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
5.   Machu Picchu-1450AD, located in Cuzco Region, Peru.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
6.  Taj Mahal- 1643 AD, located in Agra, India
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
7.   Christ the Redeemer- 1931AD, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
   

As you can tell by now, there were a couple of controversies with other people who did not accept the list.

The result of one of the major controversies lead the Swiss corporation to add a honorary status to the Great Pyramid of Giza- 2560 BC in Giza Necropolis, Egypt.
